Great replacement for your cheap aluminum.
You'll probably see the same review below on a few other pieces - 2 QT COMMERCIAL STAINLESS STEEL SAUCE PAN - NSF and 3.5 QT COMMERCIAL STAINLESS STEEL SAUCE PAN - NSF from the same manufacturer.
These come from a Chinese manufacturer, Thunder Group, who appears to make the same few lines of pots and pans under several house brands. When ordering from Amazon you may end up with several different laser-etched logos depending on luck of the draw. Pure speculation: They're selling over-runs from other contracts on Amazon.
Although not explicitly stated in the product specs, these are in fact 3-ply pans with a HUGE, fully encapsulated aluminum slug in the bottom. The bottoms are probably an inch thick, and these things are extremely solid.
On a scale of 1/10 for sturdiness, I give them a solid "not afraid to beat...
Sturdy and easy to handle
This stock pot is great so far. It cooks beautifully and the handles never get hot, including the lid handle. I plan to buy a larger one in the future.
