Really nice pan. More than I expected
I have only used this over a stove, not a fire, but it heats up really well. I heat it for 3-4 minutes first, then slap on the meat and it gets a really nice sizzle and broiler marks. the pan is clever too because it has grease spill indents on both sides to pour off grease. Only negative is the same that all these fold up pans have ... they fold up too easily. There needs to be a locking mechanism so they don't fold up when you are trying to cook with them. Therefore you cannot flip with this pan because the handle will not lock in place. but that is minor. It's also very light which is what I need since I'll be backpacking.

It's lightweight and it folds away...very convenient grill pan.
This grill pan fulfilled what I wanted...a lightweight, folding grill pan that wouldn't occupy too much storage space. Previously, I owned a large heavy cast iron pan which I grew to hate...too heavy, too hard to store (a bear to lift out of my cabinet...so I avoided using it.) Great for gifting.
