VERY HAPPY
We received the Magefesa Star R 10 Quart Pressure Cooker very quickly. This has to be the best pressure cooker on the market and at the best price too. It has a heavy bottom and is built safe and solid. This is our second and larger Magefesa pressure cooker and we couldn't be happier with them both. The 10 quart size allows cooking with alot of ingrediants and for more people and is a nice versital size cooker.
pressure fryer
This product is a pressure cooker, but I use it as a pressure fryer because of the double locks. It works awesome, chicken is just like kfc and only takes 11 minutes to cook. As long as you keep an eye on your temperature and keep the release valve clear it is safe. One of the only pressure cookers that you can use as a pressure fryer.
1 improvement could be an outside temperature gauge to show you the temperature inside.
Minor Gasket problem
I purchased this and used it three times. The first time it got up to pressure and spun the weight. The second and third would not. It seems there is a tiny gap between the ends of the gasket where steam is leaking out. The manufacturer is going to send me a new gasket but I may try to take the original one out and reinstall it too. Will update the review later based on how this turns out.
8/28/13 Bumped up from 2 stars to 4. The manufacturer sent me the new gasket and after replacing it everything has been fine. Actually I even went back and tried the original one and got it to work. It was a minor issue in production that they didn't have the gasket stretched into the lid right. If you find you have this problem just take out the gasket and reseat it so the ends meet nicely.
